Jed grew up in Central Florida. He went to Lake Mary High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude, while playing varsity baseball and volleyball. He attended Florida State University and obtained degrees, with honors, in both Finance and Insurance/Risk Management. Jed stayed at FSU for law school and obtained his J.D., with honors, in May of 2005. While at FSU Law, Jed clerked at the Department of Highway Safety and, later, at an insurance-defense firm, Henry Buchanan, P.A. He also served as the Attorney General for the FSU Student Government Association and as a Fellow for the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. After passing the Bar in August of 2005, Jed worked as a prosecutor at the Orange/Osceola County State Attorney’s Office for two-and-a-half years. He is currently an associate attorney at Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A.  Jed contributes to a variety of charity organizations such as Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, American Cancer Society, Give Kids the World, and Boys and Girls Club.
